Some news!

HEY! Hands up who played at a kick ass party this weekend, IN NORBURY! That's right, south london represent, we rocked the party (kind of). I will put some pictures up soon. This was after putting in a solid 12 hour day on friday in Mute studios with Anne and dave six toes, finishing some more tracks. In other news we got the songs to work on MYSPACE so pop along and have a look at that.

GIGS

17/2 The Buffalo Bar Highbury Corner one off four piece show with Steve and Valentina launching the album which will out on stupidcat records and will hopefully look beautiful!

23/2 The Cellar, Oxford w/ Hellset Orchestra and UTER

Uter also play Brighton on the friday 24/2 and RoTa at the notting hill arts centre on saturday 25/2 so come hear there awesomeness.

In april we head out between 1-7th with Projections dates soon.

GOOD THINGS

slow gun last week at the Bull & Gate, Liberez's rather invigorating blast of a set at the vibe bar the other day, the Cerne Abbas Rude Man, and the very nice irish stew recipe from gary rhodes book. MMMMMM stew in the winter.. it's a winner!

BYE for now!

hooray

YES hooray indeed for the good people at The Luminaire in Kilburn easily the best new venue in London. They treated us Six toes and the wolf tracks marvellously well, bands if they offer you a gig do it! People if there's something interesting happening there GO THERE. It took Jane an hour to get there from Sutton, which is less than it takes to get to the garage, and it's a much nicer venue! JUST GO THERE. ANYWAY.. news.. econoline's second album (recording for which began in March 2003) "this band isn't funny anymore" is finally done, the artwork was finished by my brother the lovely man, and the final package was chipped to Rachel and Andy Stupidcat at Dave Croft's birthday and all agreed that lo it was a good job it was finally over, so to celebrate

17/2, THE BUFFALO BAR, HIGHBURY CORNER

econoline

+ Foals
and some more maybe

for one night only we are reuniting the four piece like that robot out of starfleet to kick some rock ass, i think it's free if you join the silver rocket mailing list.. so hi yee to silver rocket's myspace to sort that out.. Also I think they're going to put some of our songs on their myspace as it doesn't seem to like my mac and I can't upload the songs to it. oh well!

other gigs coming up

21/1 NORBURY PARTY CENTRAL HOLLER at our buddy Tim Holehouse's house party

23/2, THE CELLAR, OXFORD

Hellset orchestra, uter

I've also sorted out Uter with some other gigs including 24/2 at the freebutt in Brighton so people at the seaside can check out their smashing electro shoegazery

more tbc including aberdeen, glasgow and edinburgh in March, plus some shows round the south east with Six toes. Then a proper tour in April, with Projections from Brighton. We want to go all over the country for that one so get in touch!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hopefully everyone's holidays were of great benefit and interest to them, mine were, in that I did very little and got a load of STUFF out of it. Not bad. Our show in Margate was massively smart due to a) the fact that Jane drove and I was leathered, b) Little lights were excellent and Ollie and Penny had done a jolly good job, i suggest that people get in touch with them if they want to play by the seaside (leave a message and I'll give you their contact) c) KRIS THRASH was there. enough said.

GIGS

certain things are under way including

10/1 The Luminaire Kilburn with Six toes
21/10 AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION IN NORBURY.. at our mate Tim Holehouse's house party
17/2 The Buffalo Bar Highbury Corner very special gig.. more details as and when!
23/2 The Cellar, Oxford w/ Hellset Orchestra and UTER

more to be announced through feb' and march. I'll be posting some pic's of the very very last few CDr EP's we have, these are special editions with TIES! nice. Thanks for listening. ian

GOOD THINGS Candy Sniper at the Bull and Gate this thursday, go check them out, there's also some crazy ass French prog core band on the bill. Next thursday at the Bull and Gate it's Slow gun (piers' other band of breeders style goodness) so that's the 5th and 12th of January.. HI YEE to KENTISH TOWN. It's also my mate Dave Croft's birthday on sunday which he shares with Elvis and David Bowie. Not bad for just one day of the year.
